Registration is now open for two MOOCS developed by the Ethics Center beginning September 10, 2018. New this year is Vote for Ethics: A How-To Guide for Voters, taught by Director of Government Ethics Hana Callaghan. The course, which shows voters what goes into an ethical politial campaign, runs from September 10-November 6, and includes six short modules, with a total completion time of about 1-3 hours. Each module has a brief lecture including interviews with political and ethics experts. Interactive case studies allow participants to weigh in on whether a candidate’s actions are ethical.
Business Ethics for the Real World runs from September 10-October 19 and is taught by immediate past Ethics Center Executive Director Kirk Hanson. This course provides an understanding of the nature of ethics, the role ethics plays in business, and the most commonly encountered ethical dilemmas in a business career. The expected completion time is about 8 hours. Both courses are free, self-paced, and include a badge and letter of completion for all finishers.
