Thomas Kelly ’74 is a Venture Consultant at Forgepoint Capital, former President and CEO of various tech companies including IDX, AccelOps, Moxie Software Epicor, and Blaze Software.
Tom is a Venture Consultant at Forgepoint Capital a leading cybersecurity venture capital firm. He supports due diligence and serves as a strategic advisor to current portfolio companies as well as serving on multiple portfolio boards, Tom has extensive experience as a multi-time Board member, CEO, and C-suite executive from his 30+ year career in enterprise technology.

Tom most recently served as President and CEO of IDX from 2017 to August 2022, stepping down upon the merger of IDX with Zero Fox and the combined company’s public listing on NASDAQ.  He continues to serve as a Senior Advisor to Zero Fox and serves on the company’s Board of Directors.  As CEO, Tom has led several software and security companies to successful acquisitions including AccelOps (acquired by Fortinet, 2016), Moxie Software, MontaVista Software (acquired by Cavium 2009), BlueStar Solutions (acquired by Affiliated Computer Services, 2004) and Blaze Software (IPO then acquired, 2000). Tom has also held C-Suite leadership operating roles at several companies including Cirrus Logic, Epicor Software, Cadence Design Systems, and Frame Technology (acquired by Adobe 1995).  In addition, he previously served as an EIR with Trident Capital and Trident Cyber Security.

Tom has served on numerous public corporate boards over his career including at FEI (between 2003 and 2016), Epicor Software, and Blaze Software. He is currently on the board of directors of Fabrinet (NYSE: FN) and Zero Fox (NASDAQ: ZFOX). Tom has served as chair of all major board governance committees as well as the chairman of multiple boards.

Tom is widely-quoted on cybersecurity and digital privacy issues in national media outlets including The Hill, Fox Business, Security Magazine, Morning Consult, CyberScoop, TechRepublic and CPO Magazine. 
 
He has a BS degree in Economics from Santa Clara University and has served on the the Boards of Regents and Fellows, and the Advisory Board for the Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education, where he served as Chair for a number of years.  Tom is also a Permanent Deacon in the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
