Ethics and Edtech
This week, the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Education announced that they plan to co-host a December workshop focused on privacy issues related to education technology. While that is a key topic, the ethical questions related to the adoption and deployment of edtech in classrooms go beyond those related to privacy. In a new article, Yael Kidron, director of the Character Education program at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, addresses some of those questions:
