S.F. Nonprofit ‘Neglected’ Red Flags Years Before Executive’s Arrest
A nonprofit’s board of directors is ultimately responsible for the organization, including evaluating the performance of its leadership, said Joan Harrington, Ethics Center Fellow and a lecturer at Santa Clara University School of Law who specializes in nonprofit policy.
“If you get any information that there are financial irregularities, the board needs to act,” Harrington said.
