Degree Status
Students must be enrolled in a degree program at Santa Clara University to qualify for University-administered financial aid. Undergraduate University scholarships and grants are not available to students who are pursuing a second bachelor's degree.
NOTE: The Financial Aid Office does not select award recipients for graduate programs. Please contact your graduate school for information about these types of awards.
Summer Enrollment
Undergraduate University scholarships and grants are available only for enrollment during the academic year (Fall, Winter, Spring Quarters). If you meet other eligibility criteria, federal and state financial aid and credit-based loans may be used for summer enrollment.
Study Abroad
Undergraduate University scholarships and grants may not be applied to non-Santa Clara University affiliated programs. Inter-session, summer and short-length study abroad programs are not eligible for most financial aid programs.
Less than Full-Time Enrollment
If you enroll less than full-time, your eligibility will decrease and your financial aid may be reduced or canceled. Federal Pell Grant, Cal Grant, Undergraduate University Scholarships and Grants, Federal and Private Loans are subject to a prorated amount.
Less than Half-Time Enrollment
If you are enrolled less than half-time, your federal and state aid are subject to reduction or cancellation. Federal Pell Grant, Cal Grant, Undergraduate University Scholarships and Grants, and Private Loans are subject to a prorated amount based on your unit total. Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Work-Study, TEACH Grant, Federal Perkins Loan and Federal Direct Loan(s) including Federal Parent PLUS Loan and Federal Graduate PLUS Loan are subject to cancellation.
