As a student applying as a first-year applicant to Santa Clara University, please use the resources below to navigate to the information and resources available. Santa Clara University recommends that first-year students complete both the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well as the CSS PROFILE to maximize their federal, state and non-federal aid program eligibility.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid

First-year students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered for all federal student aid programs.

  • Early Decision (I and II), Early Action & Regular Decision applicants should complete the FAFSA by February 1
  • Santa Clara University FAFSA School Code is 001326

CSS PROFILE

First-year students should complete the CSS PROFILE in order to be considered for the full range of Santa Clara University scholarships and grants.

  • Early Decision I applicants should complete the PROFILE by November 15
  • Early Action applicants should complete the PROFILE by November 15
  • Early Decision II applicants should complete the PROFILE by January 15
  • Regular Decision applicants should complete the PROFILE by February 1
  • Santa Clara University CSS Service Code is 4851

NOTE: First-year students interested in only Santa Clara University merit-based aid consideration are not required to complete the CSS PROFILE.

Santa Clara University does not require the Non-Custodial PROFILE or documents submitted through IDOC.

Cal Grant GPA Verification Form

California Residents: Complete the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form along with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered for the Cal Grant program.

  • Early Decision (I and II), Early Action & Regular Decision applicants must have the form completed and postmarked by March 2

NOTE: Most California high schools electronically submit students’ grade point averages to the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC). To assure submission, check with your California high school.
