Students may be eligible to take summer classes as a continuing Santa Clara student or as a degree-seeking student at another college or university. While SCU scholarships and grants are not available for the summer quarter, you may be eligible for other financing options which are outlined below.
Federal and State Grants
You may be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and/or Cal Grant for the summer quarter. You will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility.
Federal Direct Loans
You may be eligible for a Federal Direct Loan for the summer quarter, if you did not receive your entire annual limit during the prior academic year. You must be enrolled at least half-time over the course of the summer quarter to be eligible.
You and your parent may consider a Federal Direct PLUS Loan to help with your summer quarter costs.
You (and your parent) will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility.
Private Educational Loans
You may consider a to help with your summer quarter costs. Eligibility is based on your credit and/or co-borrowers credit, as determined by the lender and your enrollment status.
Non Santa Clara University Students
Santa Clara University Scholarship and Grants
If you are enrolled as a degree seeking student at another college and are taking summer classes at Santa Clara University, you are not eligible for any Santa Clara University scholarships and grants.
Federal and State Aid Programs
Financial Aid may be available through your college. A consortium agreement may be required to receive financial aid from your college. You will need to contact your college with any questions or concerns regarding a consortium agreement.
