Global Engagement Fellowships Deadlines

Spring 2026 Deadline: January 23, 2026
Fall 2026 Deadline: July 24, 2026

About the Fellowships

The Global Engagement Fellowships are fully-funded virtual experiences that focus on pillars of innovation and community engagement that are integral to global learning and intercultural connections. These fellowships support global engagement by providing opportunities to students to focus on community organizing, collaborative innovation, advocacy, intercultural communication, and global perspectives.

Please be aware that there may be an optional, post-fellowship international excursion offered by API Abroad that is not included in the fellowship grant.

Global Innovation Fellowship

In partnership with API Abroad's Innovation Lab, the Global Innovation Fellowship through Global Engagement is designed to leverage the UN Global Goals as a blueprint for understanding global problems that need solving, such as poverty, gender equality, and climate action (among many others) for a healthier and happier world. Participants will participate in dynamic team-based, experiential learning utilizing a flipped classroom model to move an innovative idea through design and development to create a pitch. Students will focus on key areas of global teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation.

Global Engagement selects five students to participate in this fully-funded virtual fellowship every fall and spring term.

Getting to know my teammates was the most rewarding part of my fellowship experience. I was placed with teammates from Italy, Nepal, and Vietnam. All of my teammates were incredibly cooperative, open-minded, and excited to share parts of their culture while learning about others.
