Share Your Experience

As a returnee, there are a variety of options to choose from if you want to share your experiences with others. We've organized a few of these opportunities at SCU below, based on the level of engagement you have time for. Every year we have new students applying to study abroad, and they value your perspective. Not to mention publishing your experiences is both beneficial for the reader, and a great opportunity to boost your resume!

  • Low Engagement means the activity would take you less than 1 hour to complete.
  • Medium Engagement means you would be spending at least 1 hour or more sharing your story.
  • High Engagement means you would spend at least two quarters sharing your experience.

Low Engagement:

Student Spotlight

Submit your photos and any advice you have via the Student Spotlight Form. We'll distribute the content you share with us on social media to help current applicants better prepare for their global experience.

Global Engagement Photo Contest

Submit your favorite photos from abroad to the Global Engagement Photo Contest.

Medium Engagement:

Podcast Guest

Participate as a guest on our podcast: Abroad Your Horizons. To officially sign up, please complete the Media Release Form. One of our Peer Advisors will contact you when we're ready to officially set dates, that way we can determine the time that works best for you.

Returnee Database

Become a part of the Returnee Database and future study abroad applicants will be able to contact you via email to learn more about your program and what it was like to be a student on that program.

High Engagement:

Global Engagement Ambassador Volunteer Program

We are currently recruiting volunteers for our Global Engagement Ambassador Program!  This is an excellent opportunity to pay your experiences forward and pave the way for future students to embark on this one-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Learn more about the program and apply.

The program is designed to allow you ultimate flexibility and creative agency.  If there are skills you want to develop before you graduate to highlight on your resume, we can tailor projects to meet your needs.

Work as a Peer Advisor for Study Abroad

Do you want to help students prepare and apply for a study abroad experience? Every summer we onboard a new Peer Advisor Team for the upcoming academic year. Peer Advisors commit to working for 10 hours a week across 3 quarters. Keep an eye out in the Returnee Newsletter for more details.
