Staff Recruitment Process

Thank you for your interest in joining the Santa Clara University community. Our staff play a vital role in supporting the mission and values of the University. This page will guide you through each step of the application and hiring process—from finding the right opportunity to final onboarding. We’re committed to creating a transparent, inclusive, and supportive experience for every candidate!

Apply for open positions on the SCU Careers page. 

Each candidate will undergo a pre-screening process to verify whether they meet the minimum qualifications.

Candidates may be eligible to participate in one or more interviews after pre-screening to learn more about the opportunity and to share their qualifications and experiences with the hiring committee.

The hiring manager will contact three professional references for the finalist.

The finalist will receive a verbal off before receiving an offer letter in the candidate portal. 

Certain positions will require new hires to complete a background check and/or degree verification. 

During the onboarding process, new hires are required to complete a series of important documents & tasks in Workday.
