John S. Farnsworth
During his teaching career at Santa Clara, Dr. Farnsworth specialized in Environmental Writing and Literature, teaching in both the Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences and English.
He received his B.A. from the College of Santa Fe, an MFA from Antioch University, and an MLA from Stanford University. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Stirling in Scotland.
Farnsworth is the author of two recent books: Nature Beyond Solitude: Notes from the Field, and Coves of Departure: Field Notes from the Sea of Cortez. He is a member of Santa Clara University's Thomas I. Bergin Legacy Society.
