JEDI Strategic Plan
Santa Clara University's Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) strategic plan is a bold and transformative roadmap that reflects the university's unwavering commitment to fostering a community where diversity is celebrated, equity is upheld, and every individual is empowered to thrive. Grounded in the university's Jesuit values and inclusive excellence framework, the strategic plan encompasses a holistic approach to integrating JEDI principles into every aspect of campus life, from academic programs to student support services and institutional policies. By embracing the concept of cura personalis, Santa Clara University aims to create an environment where the inherent worth and dignity of every individual are recognized and where courageous conversations and inclusive leadership are championed.
Through collaborative partnerships, community engagement, and a focus on ethical leadership, the strategic plan reinforces the university's mission to cultivate leaders who are deeply attuned to the call for justice and who are dedicated to advancing a more just and inclusive world. With this comprehensive and intentional approach, Santa Clara University's JEDI strategic plan serves as a powerful catalyst for transformative change, positioning the university as a leader in inclusive excellence and social justice within higher education and beyond.
Santa Clara University’s JEDI Strategic Plan defines six strategic priority areas to focus advocacy and action towards Education, Scholarship, Access, Success, Climate, Intergroup Relations, Community Engagement, Infrastructure, Accountability, and Wellness.
Constituted by colleagues from departments and divisions across the entire University, the Inclusive Excellence (IE) Liaisons comprise a governance and oversight body that is crucial to realizing the priorities and initiatives of SCU’s JEDI Strategic Plan.
