Broncos Read is a University Library initiative to honor faculty, staff, students, and alumni who represent exceptional scholarship, achievements, and those who embody conscience, competence, and compassion. Similar to the ALA READ posters, the Broncos Read posters feature University members with their favorite book, magazine, or other reading material in a place of their choice on campus.

Each year around National Library Week in April, the Broncos Read committee produces digital posters honoring a student, a student team or club, a faculty member, a staff member, and an alum. The posters are displayed on a prominent screen at the entrance of Learning Commons, and  on the Library's website. Honorees will receive a printed copy of their poster and a gift card to the SCU bookstore.

All SCU community members can nominate current students, student teams and groups, staff, and faculty to be considered for the award. Nominations generally open in February. In the application, you will tell us why we should honor your nominee in a Broncos Read poster by answering the following questions:

How does the nominee embody the 3 Cs: Conscience, Competence, and Compassion?
How does the nominee display a passion for reading?
