The Library is pleased to present The Open Space of Democracy by Terry Tempest Williams as the Fall 2010 Book of the Quarter. The presentation is co-sponsored by the English Department, the Environmental Studies Institute, the Office of Residence Life, and the Residential Learning Communities.
The Book of the Quarter program will include a panel presentation, moderated by Dr. Jeffrey Zorn, Senior Lecturer, English Department, on the ethics and politics of place, spiritual democracy, and the responsibilities of citizen involvement.

It isn't necessary to have read the book in order to attend the Book of the Quarter program. Copies of the book are available in the Library and for sale in the campus bookstore.
