Winter 2011
Saint Clare Room, 3rd Floor, Learning Commons, Technology Center, & Library
Tuesday, February 15, 2011
3:30 - 5 p.m.
The Library is pleased to present The Year of Fog by Michelle Richmond as the Winter 2011 Book of the Quarter. This book has been selected because it is also the choice for this year's Silicon Valley Reads, a program which is presented annually by the San Jose Public Library Foundation, the Santa Clara County Library, and the Santa Clara County Office of Education.
As the University's contribution to the program, the Library is honored to have the book's author, Michelle Richmond, on campus for a presentation, discussion, and book signing. The Book of the Quarter event will be held Tuesday, February 15 beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Saint Clare Room on the 3rd floor of the Learning Commons. The event is sponsored by the Library and co-sponsored by the English Department and is free and open to the public.
It is not necessary to read the book to attend the event, but copies are available for purchase in the campus bookstore. Additionally, the bookstore will sell copies at the event; and Michelle Richmond will autograph books at the end of the program.
