In the fall of 2009, a group of Santa Clara University faculty, staff, and students spent a study abroad term working in village libraries in Burkina Faso. This was made possible through a collaboration between the University and the non-profit organization, Friends of African Village Libraries.
This exhibit documents and celebrates this unique study abroad experience.
On display are new photographs by David Pace, children's books written and illustrated by students in the Reading West Africa Program, original arts and crafts from Burkina Faso, and student testimonies about this life-changing experience.
