Literary Cuisine

Julia Child, America's French Chef, Spring 2010

Spring 2010

Thursday, May 6, 2010
Noon - 1:30 p.m.
Nobili Hall Dining Room

The Spring 2010 Literary Cuisine was presented by the Library, Bon Appétit, and the History Department.

This Literary Cuisine celebrated the life and times of an American icon. Popularly known as the chef who introduced French cuisine to the United States, Julia Child was a truly exceptional American woman. Nancy Unger, Associate Professor of History, gave a lively presentation of Julia Child as trailblazer, French cook, media celebrity, and a woman who created a public identity for herself at a time when few women did.

Bon Appétit served a delicious French lunch for this celebration and Julia Child themed mementos were given away.
