When you submit a maintenance request on your Housing portal, our staff will review to determine urgency. Standard work orders are addressed in 5 - 10 business days, though more urgent request will be escalated to be resolved as needed.

By submitting a maintenance request, you are granting permission for the Facilities maintenance technician assigned to your community to enter your space. They will knock first, and leave notice on your door if you are not at home during the repair.

How to file work order requests

You can also submit routine maintenance requests directly to your building's Service Desk.

No. Do not submit an online request for an urgent or emergency situation. IMMEDIATELY report urgent maintenance issues to the residence life staff in your building, the Desk Receptionist at your service desk or directly to Campus Safety by calling (408) 554 - 4441. During business hours, call the Housing Office directly at (408) 554 - 4900. 

Examples of urgent maintenance issues include but are not limited to:
Floods
Complete power outtages within your room
Fires
Broken windows
