Incoming first-years are required to live on campus. We have offer eight residential living communities (RLCs), each with its own theme and unique living, and learning experience! To find out more about the Incoming First-Year Application process and timeline, please click here.
Juniors and Seniors who submit their housing application by the published deadline, go through a process called Room Selection. The Room Selection confirmation email will include a personalized date and time when the student can select their housing for the following academic year. Juniors and Seniors will be able to select rooms in the University Villas. Neighborhood Units are also designated for Juniors and Seniors only but this is a separate application and selection process.
Sophomores who submit their housing application by the published deadline, go through a process called Room Selection. A Room Selection confirmation email is sent with the personalized date and time during which the student selects their housing for the following academic year. Sophomores can select from singles, doubles, triples, suite style, and apartment-style rooms throughout the 8 RLC communities.
Transfer students are students transferring to SCU from another university. The Transfer housing application process includes a section to indicate which class standing the student is in as they beging their time at SCU. Housing for transfer students is not guaranteed, however we have been able to offer housing to all Transfer students who have applied in the past few years.
Applying outside of the published deadlines or for winter or spring? No problem, we accept applications on a rolling basis. Please note that placements are based on availability.
Juniors and Seniors are classified as students in their third, fourth, and or even fifth final year at SCU. For Juniors and Seniors we offer housing within both our University Villas community and our off-campus houses, also known as Neighborhood Units. We offer housing for Graduate and Law students, on a first come first serve basis, within four different Graduate and Law communities. Due to our limited housing for graduate and law students, we cannot guarantee housing, so we encourage you to apply as soon as the application opens.
