Our Community
The University Villas is the only campus residence hall for junior and senior undergraduate students. Our community supports upper-division students as they prepare for "Life After College". Our community leverages social educational programming opportunities to engage our students as they connect to campus resources, explore opportunities for personal and professional growth, develop meaningful relationships, and envision opportunities after graduation.
Our Staff
This residence hall includes a Leadership Team comprised of a live-in Resident Director, Spiritual Facilitator, Counselor in Residence and Assistant Resident Director. The Leadership Team is a valuable resource that can help residential students with both personal and academic concerns. We look forward to meeting students and supporting them along their Bronco journey!

A welcome note from your Resident Director:
Hello! My name is Wilson Deng (he/him), and I have the privilege of serving as the Resident Director for University Villas. I have been in the field of Residence Life/Education and Student Affairs for over 5 years with additional experience in Student Activities, Study Abroad, Greek Life, Club Sports Athletics, Student Organizations, Community Organizing, Social Justice, and the First-Gen Experience. I truly believe in valuing, prioritizing, and investing in the 'whole' student. My objective is to support our students with holistic growth, help them recognize and reach their academic and non-academic potential, and challenge them to be creative critical thinkers and problem solvers - all while inspiring them to lead balanced, harmonized, and healthy lives.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, I spent 8-years in San Diego, where I earned my M.A. in Postsecondary Educational Leadership with a specialization in Student Affairs (PELSA), from San Diego State University, and my B.A. in Psychology and B.A. in Ethnic Studies at the University of California, San Diego (Thurgood Marshall College, UC San Diego). After San Diego, I lived in Seattle, Washington and worked at Seattle University before joining the SCU Bronco community. In my spare time, I enjoy indoor climbing and outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking in the mountains, and relaxing by open water.
I am so happy that you might choose to be part of the University Villas community. I cannot wait to get to know how I can support you along your undergraduate journey at SCU!
