Winter Admits
New students (first-year and transfer) beginning enrollment in Winter 2026 are not required to register for Orientation. Please refer to the next steps for Winter Start students on the Admission website for important information and deadlines.
The Drahmann Center will send out an email on December 4 regarding various opportunities as well as the mandatory advising and enrollment session, which will take place on December 11.

Reserve Your Spot!
Your first steps to becoming a Bronco are:
- Pay your enrollment deposit (On or before June 15, 2025)
- If you are interested in SCU housing, submit your housing application right away (Priority Deadline June 15, 2025; Housing application available through August 6, 2025).
- Housing is available for transfer students on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on availability.
- Sign up for an advising and enrollment session
- Mark your calendar for on-campus orientation on September 17, 2025.
Get Enrolled!
Next, it's time to get ready for academic advising and course enrollment.
In June, July, and August:
- Claim your SCU account (Available 3 days after deposit) - includes SCU email and MySCU Portal access which is required for subsequent steps.
- Students who need to take calculus at SCU should complete the Calculus Readiness Exam before your advising and course enrollment session in August.
- Access the CRE through the MySCU Portal.
- Santa Clara’s core curriculum includes proficiency in a second language, with specific requirements for each major. SCU offers coursework in nine languages - continue learning a language or start learning a new one!
- If you need to take a second language at SCU, complete the language placement process at least three weeks before your course enrollment session.
- Submit final college transcripts for transfer credit evaluation as soon as possible.
- Students with disabilities should register with the Office of Accessible Education as soon as possible.
- Complete Workday Onboarding (Available June 16, 2025) to set up your account in our student information system (required before you can enroll in courses).
Attend your advising and enrollment session
Watch for detailed information regarding your specific orientation and course enrollment session that will be sent via email a week or two before your session.
- Transfer students have advising and enrollment in late August. Please reserve the entire day.
- Note that this session is separate from required in-person orientation on September 17, 2025! We look forward to connecting with you for both important events.

August and September means it's time to turn your attention to arriving on campus and becoming part of the Bronco community!
Financial Aid and Billing
- View and accept financial aid (accept or decline aid by July 24, 2025)
- View and pay your estimated fall quarter bill (payment due August 21, 2025).
- Your fall bill is an estimate, since transfer students' course enrollment happens after the fall billing cycle. However, payment is still due August 21, 2025.
- Students can set up a parent or family member as an authorized payer for their account.
Health Insurance Waiver
Student Health Insurance is required - those with their own coverage must file a waiver each year. Students not completing the waiver form by September 26, 2025, will be automatically enrolled in and charged for the SCU-sponsored health insurance plan.
- Students can access the waiver by clicking on the Gallagher Student Health Tile in their MySCU Portal. Students will be able to access the health insurance waiver 4-5 business days after enrolling in 6 units for the fall 2025 quarter.
Health Forms
Students will submit the following information through their My Student Health Portal (Link available in your MySCU portal after June 16, 2025).
- Immunization Records (due August 1, 2025)
- Records must have the following: first and last name, date of birth, vaccine name, vaccine administration date (month/day/year), and a stamp/signature/heading from the medical provider or facility.
- Records must be in English. If your records are not in English, please obtain a certified translation to submit alongside the original records.
- Medical History form (due August 1, 2025)
Being a Bronco Series
- All incoming transfer students are required to complete the 5-module Being a Bronco series. These will be accessible in August and must be completed by September 5, 2025.
