Genealogy SIG

The Osher Genealogy SIG provides a supportive atmosphere to those wishing to search for family roots and relationships. Our members have all levels of genealogical participation, from those just getting started to seasoned veterans who want to share their knowledge and experience.

The Osher Genealogy SIG provides a supportive atmosphere to those wishing to search for family roots and relationships. Our members have all levels of genealogical participation, from those just getting started to seasoned veterans who want to share their knowledge and experience.

AT our meetings, we discuss a full range of genealogy-related information, including:

  • Helpful websites, both free and subscription
  • Upcoming lectures and classes in our area
  • Using DNA in genealogy searches
  • Which computer software to use
  • Local genealogy libraries
  • Organizing data

We meet once a month, usually on campus, and occasionally have our meeting at a local genealogy library, either as a working meeting or learning about that library’s genealogy resources.
