Sabbatical Leave

Please read the Application Guidelines below carefully for details on eligibility and projects appropriate for sabbatical leave. For details regarding leaves at full and reduced pay, depending on accrued quarters of full-time service, view the Sabbatical Leave Options document.

 

Sabbatical Applications Are Now Open

Current Application Guidelines 

  • By October 3, 2025, faculty submit sabbatical applications via this link. To see an example of the prompts required in the application, please refer to this document
  • On or around October 10, 2025, the materials become available to the Sabbatical Review Committee and Department Chairs.
  • By October 28, 2025, Chairs should review the quality of the application, discuss any staffing concerns with the Dean’s office, and then complete their approval.
  • By November 14, 2025, the Dean’s office will make their recommendation to the Provost’s Office.
  • By December 12, 2025, the Provost’s Office notifies the applicants of the decision via email.
