Faculty Development Program Manager
Lisa graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a PhD in Language and Literacy Education focusing on multimodality, digital literacies, and teaching students with diverse learning needs. Her interest in the scholarship of teaching and learning stemmed from her research work with elementary school teachers and her experience as a classroom teacher. During her time at UBC, she collaborated with faculty members on projects to explore effective feedback practices, the use of learning analytics in teaching, and the impact of COVID-19 on the transition to remote instruction. Prior to her doctoral work, Lisa worked in career services at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.
