Hey Broncos!! It's time for another Club Sports update. SCU has 22 competitive Club Sport teams that take on universities at the local, regional, and national levels. Each month during the academic year, we ask teams to share updates on what they have been up to--though not all Club Sports will report each month.
March is packed with exciting home games, so don't miss the chance to support your fellow Broncos! Make sure to check out the bottom of this email for all the upcoming home games and their time! See you there--Go Broncos!
OPEN CLUB SPORTS
BOXING
It's time! Regional competitions have begun. After our awesome Dodge Ackerman Bouts that resulted in 2 wins by our team members Sean Keyour and Rigo Garcia. Our competitors began to focus and train diligently for the Western Regionals. This year's regionals will be hosted by the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, starting Thursday, March 6 and ending Saturday, March 8. We have 5 competitors heading there in order to secure their way into nationals. Going with us at the regional competition will be the entire western regional boxing clubs, including teams such as USC, University of Washington, and many more. We send all our support to our competitors heading to regionals and can’t wait to see how it unfolds.

SHOTOKAN KARATE
Hello everyone! Hope the last little bit of winter quarter is going well! Karate Club is excited to be in the middle of our tournament season! Not only are we preparing and perfecting our kata (forms) and kumite (sparring) for our next tournament on Saturday, March 8, we’re also getting ready for belt testing next quarter! Best of luck to everyone working toward their next belt!

SWIM TEAM
With the Winter season coming to an end, we have one more big swim meet left with UC Berkeley. Throughout this quarter we went to Stanford for a competition and have been running time trials for people to qualify for nationals. We now have 13 national qualifiers! We are looking forward to seeing what our swimmers can do at nationals during Spring break. If you have any questions or are interested in joining the club swim team, please email our first year representatives, kbush@scu.edu and akerobyan@scu.edu .
