Whether you want to tan, swim, or cool off on a hot day, our pool is the place to be!
The Sullivan Aquatic Center opened after renovations in October 2008. The pool is now 52 m by 23 m (a little larger than an Olympic-sized pool due to the potential future purchase of a bulkhead).
The facility is available for use by current SCU students, faculty and staff, and Malley Center members. Seven lap lanes are regularly available for open recreation lap swimming, and we have one shallow lane for water walking. On the pool deck, we have kick boards and pull buoys available for use for lap swimmers. There are also six diving blocks that are used by Club Swim during practices and swim meets.
The pool is used by the Men's and Women's Intercollegiate Water Polo teams for their practices and home games. Starting this year, the pool will be closed 90 minutes before and 120 minutes post game time. The Campus Recreation swim and triathlon club sports use the pool for practices. These two programs do take up three of the lap lanes during their practices. In addition, the pool is used by our Bronco Kids All Sports Camp program.
