Welcome to learning and working at the Sobrato Campus for Discovery and Innovation.
The School of Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences are excited to see the organic connections that will be made, and the innovated projects that will be created here.
Did you know that the Sobrato Campus for Discovery and Innovation (SCDI) is actually made up of three buildings? The buildings that make up this STEM campus are the newly built Discovery and Innovation-Building 402, Heafey Hall-Building 202, and Bergin Hall-Building 203.
It is not lost on us that bringing two groups together into a new facility of this magnitude may come with some twists and turns and may have a few bumps along the way. The School and College have prepared some policies to help us all navigate this new territory. Please make sure you are logged into your @SCU.EDU account before proceeding to the policies page:
Meet Dan!
Chances are, if you have been around this summer, you have already seen him 100+ times. If you are just returning to campus you will start to see him soon. Dan Ignacio is the SCDI’s new STEM Building and Operations Manager. He has been with the University for over 30 years and this summer made the change from University Support Services to STEM.
Dan is in charge of all things SCDI building related; everything from granting access, to facilities requests, to setting policies, and more. When you see him walking down the halls, give him a wave or say hello, and help us welcome him to this new role.
