What do you do in your role at the Center? I assist SCU Facilities and Transportation staff in taking action in mitigating climate change through practical ways, such as by promoting more environmentally-friendly transportation options and minimizing SCU’s energy usage. I also create hands-on learning opportunities for energy and sustainability classes.
What is your favorite part about being on the team? I enjoy seeing solutions to environmental issues in action, providing a source of hope for the community!
What extra/co-curricular activities are you involved in on campus? I am the multicultural representative for QPOCA (Queer People of Color Association), one of the clubs in the MCC (Multicultural Center). I am also the education minister for EWB (Engineers Without Borders). In addition, I regularly attend meetings for ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) and regularly volunteer at the Forge Garden.
Other passions, hobbies, fun facts, or anything else you want to share? I enjoy art, writing, and music. I’m working on a sci-fi series right now, which I hope to release as a comic someday!
