The Garden Play Project is your guide to exploring nature wherever, however, you find it.

Our story begins with the Resiliency Bags project. In the first days and weeks of Shelter-in-Place, our garden programs coordinated with local leadership and community members to provide weekly deliveries of fresh produce to families in need. Soon these bags evolved in their contents, providing pantry items and environmental education learning prompts for children and their families receiving Resilience Bags. Over time the educational component or our bags began to weave in SCU student developed content, through the Experiential Learning for Social Justice projects connected to our garden program.  

This spring quarter alone 100+ students have participated in our online ELSJ programming. In our continued commitment to grow together, the Garden Play Project aims to use this blog to showcase student work as well as spark curiosity in the outdoors immediately around us. The environmental education material designed for our community members also strives to invite creative expression, while building meaningful connections with our surrounding neighborhoods.
