Logins / Accounts

At SCU, we use a single sign-on system to access most of the applications that people use day to day, including Gmail, Camino (Canvas Learning Management System), and Zoom.

Accounts are automatically set up for new students. The instructions below will help you to claim your new SCU account, and to set a password that only you know.

Before you start, gather the following information:
- Your 11-digit SCU ID (Student ID) number.
- Your temporary claim code. This code was sent to you in an email titled "New SCU Account Information - Please Read to Get Started."

If you don't know your SCU ID number (Student ID):
Undergraduate students, please check your application status portal.
Graduate students, please check your admitted student portal.

First step: When you're ready, click on the link in your "New SCU Account Information" email.
- Enter your SCU ID number, Last Name, and Claim Code as requested.
- Read and agree to SCU's Acceptable Use Policy.
- At this point, your SCU Username will be displayed. Please write down your SCU Username for future reference.
- Next, you will see a link for setting your password. Click on that link to set a new password that only you know.

Once you complete the process, you can use your SCU Username and password to access most SCU applications, using the MySCU login portal.

Second step: Once you've claimed your account and set the password, you must enroll in Duo. SCU uses Duo for two-factor authentication to provide an extra layer of protection for our accounts. Instructions for how to do this are here:

To request an account, please fill out this form within 90 days after your graduation.
