How do I partner with tUrn?
Decide whether you want to partner by facilitating discussions/projects/reflections within your own course (not for public), or by attending the free (public) HEADLINERS as a class, and choose the appropriate syllabus statement from the next page
To integrate the topic of the CLIMATE CRISIS in the context of your lecture or coursework you can:
- use a problem that requires your discipline’s expertise, techniques or methodologies, and is about any aspect of the climate crisis or climate solutions;
- give a creative prompt to allow for expressive, interpretive writing or creation on a theme;
- use a case study that covers sustainability, environmental justice, ecology, climate destabilization, extinction, climate advocacy/action in sociology, business, law, psychology, etc.;
- bring a speaker into your classroom via video/online resources who addresses a relevant aspect of the climate crisis that supports your week’s topic and/or learning goals
Especially if you do not normally teach or lead discussions about the climate crisis, you are welcome to use any of the resources from the tUrn website that are organized by themes or assign a tUrn headliner from our YouTube channel.

The Interdisciplinary tUrn:
For the 2021-2022 year the CCRG will present any faculty research that is put forward to the group and also focus on the new Laudato Si' Action Platform. We will experience a virtual reality of climate change from SCU's VR lab and talk research progress! Join us and help strengthen commitments and interdisciplinary inquiry and advocacy for climate action campus-wide, locally, in our various communities, cities, states and countries.
Winter (Feb & Mar) 3 meetings on zoom except for the visit to the VR lab which will be in-person
Thursdays: Choose one session that is the best time for you: 10:15-11am and 12:15-1 pm
