Join Climate California’s Emmy Award-winning TV producer Charles Loi of Northern California Public Media as he screens Climate California episode 10: “Now.” Charles leads a team that produces inspiring videos and television that explores the causes, impacts, and solutions of climate change through the stories of people who remind us of the beauty of the world and the power we already have. Charles will be joined by NorCal colleague senior producer Rick Bacigalupi. Moderated by Professor Maria Judnick, SCU English.

In the Face of a Precarious Future: UNPACKING the INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE’S ADVISORY OPINION on CLIMATE CHANGE

Professor David L. Sloss, the John A. and Elizabeth H. Sutro Professor of Law at Santa Clara University, is a leading expert on international law. In this lecture, he will summarize the International Court of Justice's (ICJ) landmark decision on climate change. All 15 ICJ judges ruled unanimously that "international law sets forth obligations for States to ensure the protection of the climate system . . . from anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions."
