A conversation about the water demands of AI data centers, including case studies about the impacts of data centers on nearby communities. This session will cover the tension between the need for computing power and the need for water, the relationship of data centers to vulnerable water resources and communities, options for conserving water in data center operations, recent promises of greater sustainability, and proposed regulations.

There is a lot to be concerned about, and this group talks about it. Spend time with others who share your deep concerns for the world and everyone’s futures at tUrnout Climate Action club. We normally meet Wednesdays at 5:30 in the lower level of Benson, but during tUrn week we are out in nature on our beautiful campus.  No experience necessary. Snacks provided. Just show up!

Created for preschool through first-grade students, these activities focus on discovering fruits and vegetables through hands-on, discovery-based learning that aligns with academic standards and can be adapted to older grades as well. Walk away with both our early childhood education and climate smart farms resources to engage your students of all ages.
