Welcome to the Wellness Center

Informed by the Ignatian value of cura personalis, the Wellness Center promotes holistic student development through peer-to-peer engagement and individualized services. All are welcome to use the Wellness Center as a respite from the hectic pace of their days or to be in community with others. Students can decompress with mindfulness tools like coloring books or craft supplies, and enjoy amenities like complimentary snacks, tea, and coffee, and a massage chair. Students will receive guidance and accompaniment, equipping them to make informed decisions that align with their unique journeys and get support for their well-being through the Eight Dimensions.

Wellness Coaching

Wellness Coaching is a student-centered process for identifying personal and professional goals. Students work collaboratively with a coach to explore strategies for achieving, maintaining, and revisiting those goals over time. Common topics students receive support on are: time management and procrastination, substance use moderation, navigating academic and extracurricular stressors, practicing communication skills, and whatever tools a student needs to be successful at SCU and beyond.

Survivor Advocacy

Individuals (students, faculty & staff) that have experienced different forms of interpersonal harm including relationship violence, sexual violence, stalking, sex-based harassment and discrimination, or those supporting an individual that has experienced interpersonal harm, can connect with Confidential Survivor Advocacy. Confidential Advocacy may include: space to process experiences; emotional, physical and technological safety planning, information about survivors' options, rights, and resources with accompaniment.

We are home to two student groups: the Peer Health Educators and the Violence Prevention Educators.
