Created in the Fall of 2024, Bucky's Closet is Santa Clara University’s student-run, free, on-campus thrift store. It serves students, staff, and faculty by repurposing second-hand clothing, shoes, accessories, school supplies, and other small items. By reusing resources, we are building a more efficient community, diverting unnecessary waste from landfills, reducing emissions, and saving money. The best part is that this resource is conveniently located on campus and completely FREE!

Bucky's Closet is run by the Center for Sustainability's Student Sustainability Coordinators and is supported by the Career Center, LEAD Scholars ProgramOffice for Multicultural Learning & Rainbow Resource Center, and more!

Donate Items to Bucky's Closet

Bucky's Closet accepts most clothing, shoes, and accessories as well as school supplies and other small items. Please donate only the items listed below. All donations must be new or in “like new” to “gently used” condition. Please, nothing broken, torn, stained, or in need of repair!

Direct all other donations to a local nonprofit organization, such as Goodwill of Silicon Valley or Hope Services. Your thoughtful donations mean less staff time sorting unaccepted items and more shopping hours!

Donations are accepted at Bucky's Closet (Daly Science 317) when the store is open. Check quarterly operating hours above. DO NOT LEAVE DONATIONS OUTSIDE OF BUCKY'S CLOSET AFTER HOURS!
