Jordan Cohen received her PhD in History from the University of California, Riverside, with a dissertation that reviewed the intersection of slavery and medicine in the ancient Mediterranean world. She teaches courses on the culture and history of ancient Greece and Rome, as well as the many surrounding peoples they come into contact with, language courses in Greek and Latin, as well as ancient anatomy and medicine. Her research interests include ancient medicine, both religious and rational, the history of slavery, and applications of comparative theory.
