Nora Eltahawy

Nora Eltahawy holds a PhD in English from Northwestern University. Her research explores how military encounters between the United States and Middle East helped shape Arab American literary and cultural identity. She has taught courses on immigrant literature, women's writing, social catastrophes, politics and imaginative genres, and the misfit trope in American pop culture. Her creative and scholarly work has been published by the American University in Cairo press, the University of Texas at Austin press, and MELUS: Multi-Ethnic Literature of the United States.
