Jeffrey Burkholder
Assistant Professor
Jeffrey Burkholder specializes in French literature and philosophy, with research interests in aesthetics, romanticism, and ecology. He is the author of Poétique de la nature, published by Classiques Garnier in 2023. He holds a BA from U.C. Berkeley as well as an MA and Ph.D from the University of Paris III, La Sorbonne-Nouvelle. Since joining the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures in 2019, he has developed a keen interest in language pedagogy and theories of communication. In all his teaching and course development, he is committed to SCU’s core values of social justice and educating the whole person.
