Maria Bauluz
Maria Bauluz was born and raised in Spain. She graduated from University of Oviedo with a B.A. in Anglo-Germanics philology in 1988. She got a tenured position as an English teacher in the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas (Language State schools). After teaching ESL in Spain, she moved to the USA where she obtained two Masters degrees from the University of Iowa, one in Latin American Literature and the other in Second Language Education.
She has taught elementary and intermediate Spanish at Rutgers University, University of Iowa, and University of Pennsylvania. She has been teaching at Santa Clara University since 1999.
