Under the Direction of Dr. Scot Hanna-Weir, the Chamber Singers is an 18-24 voice mixed ensemble of highly select, experienced choral singers and is the university's premiere choral performance/touring ensemble. The repertoire includes a variety of sophisticated chamber choral music from the Renaissance to the present day. Membership is by audition, and auditions are open to the entire university community including undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and staff members.
In addition to performing on the three annual, on-campus choral concerts, Chamber Singers serves as the university's primary choral representative in the community. They regularly perform for various local community events and groups and travel both domestically and abroad. Membership in Chamber Singers fulfills the College of Arts and Science's fine arts requirement and the ensemble requirement for music majors and minors.
Rehearsals: Tuesday, Thursday 3:50 - 5:30 pm | MDF 103 (Recital Hall)
Course Number: MUSC 143
