Bruno Ruviaro
Associate Professor
Bruno Tucunduva Ruviaro is a Brazilian composer and performer.
Before joining the Santa Clara faculty in the Fall of 2012, he studied and worked at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) at Stanford University. He now lives in Oakland and and enjoys riding Amtrak to Santa Clara every day.
Main fields of research: Music Composition, with an emphasis in Electronic Music. Related interests: electronic music composition, laptop orchestras, live-electronics, acousmatic music, sampling & musical borrowing. Secondary interests: theater, dance, linguistics, speech, radio art, linux, intellectual (im)property, music & politics.
