Teresa McCollough
Professor Teresa McCollough is well-known as a leading interpreter and advocate for contemporary piano music, and has commissioned, premiered, and performed countless new works by today's emerging and established composers. She has performed on stages around the world and her recordings have received Grammy nominations.
As Director of the SCU New Music Ensemble, Professor McCollough coaches students in the performance of new and emerging ensemble works and she teaches courses across the curriculum in music theory, history, appreciation, and other electives.
Professor McCollough is the 2024–25 Faculty Senate President and the 2024-2026 Frank Sinatra Chair in the Performing Arts. She received her Bachelor of Music from the Oberlin Conservatory and her Masters of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music.
