Kristin Kulas
Teaching Professor
Kristin Kulas received a B.S. degree in Physics with a specialization in Astrophysics from UC San Diego in 2006. She received her Ph.D. from UC Los Angeles in 2013 where she researched the kinematics of galaxies to understand the process of how they form while developing infrared instrumentation for the Keck Observatory. After graduate school, she spent a year as a NASA Postdoctoral Fellow at NASA Ames Research Center working on mid-infrared instrumentation for the SOFIA project. Since coming to Santa Clara in 2014, Professor Kulas has continued her work on how galaxies form and evolve over cosmic time.
