Sarita Tamayo-Moraga received her B.A. from University of Texas and her Ph.D. in History of Christianity from University of Chicago in 2002. She taught at San Jose City College from Spring 2002-Summer 2004 and joined the Santa Clara faculty in Spring 2003. Her research focuses on comparative mysticism with a focus on Zen and Catholicism, the use of mindfulness in pedagogy, and transformative scholarship and learning.
