The highest honor bestowed by the School of Engineering, the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award recognizes graduates whose accomplishments in their professions, communities, and University service have set them apart.
The 2024 Distinguished Service Award is awarded to Lawrence P. Burke for his significant career achievements and for his generosity and commitment to the School of Engineering. After completing his education at Santa Clara University, Larry founded and chaired the Light Aircraft Manufacturers Association–LAMA. Today, he serves as chairman emeritus.

To honor alumni who have enhanced the stature of the School of Engineering through their voluntary association with the University.
