Supurna Dasgupta

Supurna Dasgupta is an Assistant Professor of Postcolonial and World Literatures in the English Department at SCU. Worrying endlessly about how AI and excessive screentime is rotting her and her students’ brains, she chose to return to an older mode of communication for this: a long form that needs thought and patience, does not demand instant response or gratification, details the quotidian, and celebrates unfiltered simplicity. Aside from quiet conversations and patchy spells of reading and writing, she enjoys cooking and tasting a wide range of dishes, and looking up new mountains to visit.
